For the dough

375g strong white flour

1 ½ teaspoons salt

7g yeast

1tablespoon olive oil

275ml warm water

In a bowl mix flour, salt and yeast. Make a well in the centre and pour in oil and water. Stir the dough together and mix well. The dough will be a little sticky. Cover and leave for 30 – 45 minutes.

When ready to top, knock dough  back, knead for a minute or two and the roll out on a floured work surface.

Top and bake at 220 until risen and golden.

 

For the topping

Tomato sauce:-       1 tin chopped tomatoes, drained

                                    2tbsp tomato puree

                                    2 crushed garlic cloves

Mix well together, breaking up the tomatoes if they are large.

Spread on to the dough then top with anything from:- ham, sweetcorn, mozzarella, cheddar, onions, peppers.
